Our firm traces its roots back to 1984. In March of that year, Tom Carey founded the predecessor of the current firm in Clearwater. He had lost his wife, Joni, to a drunk driver one year earlier, and became an activist in the fight against drunk driving. The firm specializes primarily in Personal Injury claims involving Auto Negligence, Pedestrian Accidents, Slip and Falls, Dog Bites, Wrongful Death and Cemetery, Crematory and Funeral Home Malpractice. Operating out of Pinellas County, the fully staffed firm handles cases within the entire central western coast of Florida. Carey & Leisure combines the accessibility and attentiveness of a small firm with the skills, experience and resources commonly associated with a large law firm.
